Taylor is another whimsical design by Bees Knees Knit perfect for a little boy or girl. Using the self patterning or hand dyed sock yarn you can make this just adorable design. Stylish shaping and patterning on this vest is reminiscent of a gentleman's tailored waistcoat. Intarsia shapes on the front echo the striping created with self-patterning yarn on the back. Applied I-cord on all the edges provides the finishing touch for this waistcoat. This pattern has instructions for: 0-6 mo, 6-12 mo, 12-24 mo, 2T, 4T. Yarn needed to complete this are 1 (2,2,2,3) balls (50g) self-patterning sock yarn (MC) 1 (1,1,2,2) balls (50g) solid 4-ply yarn (CC) (50g or a 1 3/4 oz skein = 210m or 229 yds). Buttons 4 (5,5,5,5) 3/8 (1 cm). Needles: 1 pair 3 mm (US 2 ), 3 mm double point needles, 3.5 mm double point needles. Gauge is 30 sts. and 42 rows to 4 (10 cm). Please note these are designed by a Canadian Holli Yeoh. So the needles are given in metric size, use the US needle size to obtain the gauge unless you have own the metric needles.
